Congratulations to Nicholas Polk (now Dr. Polk) of NELC, who successfully defended his doctoral dissertation, entitled "Deuteronomy and Treaty Texts: A Critical Reexamination of Deuteronomy 13, 17, 27, and 28" on 18 March.
This was NELC's first ever fully online dissertation defense ~ the committee members and the candidate joined the defense proceedings remotely, each from their own home, in compliance with the University of Chicago's guidelines to combat the spread of Coronavirus.
