NELC majors Gabriel Davis and Olivia Rosenzweig were awarded NELC’s Undergraduate Prize for Service to the Department. This prize was awarded in recognition of their work on Majalla, the Arabic Language magazine, as well as their active participation in the NELC Student-Faculty Committee, and ambassador-like service on behalf of NELC.
NELC major Zachary Spitz was awarded the 2019 Justin Palmer Prize for his BA Thesis, "We Should Employ the Same Weapons as Our Opponents": The Origins of Zionist Eugenics, 1900-1940. This prize is a recognition of the outstanding quality of Zachary's BA paper and his intellectual promise as a scholar.
