Gianni Izzo is a Ph.D. candidate at the Center for Middle East and North African Studies at the University of Arizona, where he studies Shi’ism and Islamic intellectual history. His research interests focus on Shia devotions and the philosophy of religious language.
The title of his talk is “Jesters of the Safavid Court.”
