Prof. Yaşar Tolga Cora, Department of History, Boğaziçi University has received a prestigious 2022 Young Scientists Award
from the Science Academy, awarded to successful academics under the age of 40 in recognition of their achievements in their
respective disciplines and their contribution to scientific research in Turkey. Congratulations, Tolga!
Dr. Cora received his PhD from NELC in 2016, with his dissertation (advised by Prof. Holly Shissler),
“Transforming Erzurum/Karin: the Social and Economic History of a Multi-Ethnic Ottoman City in the Nineteenth Century.”
