Please join us this Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 5pm for a talk with Dr. Nader Sayadi! Nader Sayadi is the Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He received his PhD Art History at the University of Texas at Austin, and he was formerly a student in the Buildings-Landscapes-Cultures (blc) program at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His educational and professional background is in architectural history, historic preservation and architectural design. His current research interest is the bilateral relationship between the goods production networks and craft landscapes from the Pax Mongolica to the dawn of the modern industrial era in the Middle East and Central Asia.​ 

 

The title of his talk is “‘Prophets, Caterpillars, and the Role of Silk-Weavers in the Safavid Era.”

لطفا این پنجشنبه برای سخنرانی دکتر نادر صیادی با ما همراه باشید! نادر صیادی پژوهشگر موزه متروپولیتن هنر نیویورک است. او درس خوانده دانشگاه تکساس-آستین و دانشگاه ویسکانسن-میلواکی است. سابقه حرفه ای و آموزشی او در تاریخ و طراحی معماری و  حفاظت تاریخی است. تمرکز تحقیقات حاضر او در ارتباطهای دوطرفه شبکه های تولید کالا و مناظر صنایع از زمان صلح مغولی تا عصر صنعتی است.

 

عنوان سخنرانی او " ایوب پیامبر، کرم ابریشم و جایگاه اجتماعی شعربافان در دوره صفوی" است.
