Academic Bio

Samantha Suppes is a Near Eastern Art and Archaeology PhD student studying the Bronze and Iron Age Southern Levant. Her research focuses on the influences of empires like Egypt and Assyria on this region’s culture and development. She received her undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and her masters degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, she has worked at several archaeological sites in Israel including Ashkelon, Tel Shimron, Megiddo, Qumran Caves, and the City of David.
