هذا الأسبوع نتشرف باستضافة الدكتورة مارغريت ليتفن، التي ستلقي محاضرة بعنوان :
«أهم الدروس من تاريخ العلاقات بين العرب والروس»
مارغريت ليتفن أستاذة وباحثة في جامعة بوسطن حيث تدرّس الأدب العربي والعالمي والترجمة الأدبية. بين منشراتها” رحلة هاملت العربية: أمير شكسبير وشبح عبد الناصر) “مترجم إلى العربية في 2017)
والترجمة الانجليزية للرواية” الجليد“ (2011) لصنع الله ابراهيم والإنثولوجيا التاريخي”العوالم الروسية-العربية “التي نشرتها مع المؤرختين ماشا كراسيروفا وأيلين كين عند دار جامعة أوكسفورد للنشر السنة الماضية

This week we are very excited to host UChicago alumnus Dr. Margaret Litvin, who will deliver a talk titled “Why Study Arab-Russian and Arab-Soviet Cultural Ties?”
Margaret Litvin is associate professor of Arabic and Comparative Literature at Boston University, where she teaches Arabic literature, world literature, and literary translation. She is the author of Hamlet’s Arab Journey: Shakespeare’s Prince and Nasser’s Ghost (2011), the translator of works including Sonallah Ibrahim’s 2011 novel Ice, and a co-editor of the newly published anthology Russian-Arab Worlds: A Documentary History published by Oxford last year.
