Please join us this Thursday, April 20, at 5:00 pm CST for a talk with Professor Fazel Ahad Ahadi! Fazel Ahad Ahadi is a citizen of the Panjshir province of Afghanistan. He received his bachelors in Cinema Studies from the University of Kabul, and his masters in Cultural Studies in Cinema from the Tajik Institute of Art and Culture Mirzo Tursunzade. He was a Ph.D. student in the last year of his study when Afghanistan fell to the Taliban; his studies remained unfinished. He is currently working to finish his work remotely.
From 2006 until 2021 and the fall of Afghanistan, Professor Ahadi was a professor at the University of Kabul, where he taught screenwriting and literature. After the fall of Kabul, Professor Ahadi departed for Germany, where he stayed for a year. He was then invited to the University of Chicago as a research professor in the Department of Cinema and Media Studies. He has published eight textbooks.
Professor Ahadi is also a poet, and he has published seven poetry collections. Most of his poetry is in the ghazal style, covering social and romantic themes.
The title of his talk is “An Introduction to Modern Afghani Poetry and Poets.”

لطفا این پنجشنبه برای سخنرانی فضل احد احدی با ما همراه باشید! زاده استان پنجشیر افغانستان است. کارشناسی را در رشته سینما در دانشگاه کابل تمام کرده، کارشناسی ارشد را در دانشگاه فرهنگ و صنعت تاجیکستان بنام میرزا تورسون زاده در رشته (فرهنگ شناسی با گرایش سینما) به پایان رسانیده و دانشجوی سال آخر مقطع دکترا PHD در کشور تاجیکستان بود که افغانستان بدست طالبان سقوط کرد و تحصیلاتش ناتمام مان. اکنون تلاش دارد تا از راه دور تحصیلاتش را تمام کند.
از سال ۲۰۰۶ الی اگوست ۲۰۲۱ و سقوط افغانستان بدست طالبان، استاد دانشگاه کابل بود که رشته فیلم‌نامه‌نویسی و ادبیات داستانی را تدریس می‌کرد. احدی بعد از سقوط کابل، راهی آلمان شد و بعد از سپری نمودن یک سال در آلمان، بنابر دعوت دانشگاه شیکاگو به‌عنوان استاد محقق همراه با خانواده‌اش به آمریکا سفر کرد و اکنون در دیپارتمنت سینما و مطالعات رسانه دانشگاه شیکاگو مشغول تحقیق می‌باشد. ۸ عنوان کتاب تدریسی از او تا حالا به چاپ رسیده.
فضل احد احدی شاعر است و هفت مجموعه شعر او تا حالا به چاپ رسیده. اشعار او بیشتر در قالب غزل سروده شده و موضوع اشعار او اجتماعی- سیاسی و عاشقانه می‌باشد.
عنوان سخنرانی " شعر معاصر افغانستان و معرفی چند شاعر معاصر افغانستانی" می باشد.
این برنامه به شکل حضوری در اتاق شمارۀ 218 ساختمان "پیک" در دانشگاه شیکاگو برگزار می‌شود، و همچنین به صورت آنلاین از طریق زوم قابل دنبال کردن است.
