Lisans eğitimi için Chicago'ya gelen Kaan, Yakın Doğu Dilleri ve Medeniyetleri Bölümündeki 2.senesini tamamlamak üzeredir. Anadolu'nun sosyal ve etnik tarihi, müzik tarihi ve tasavvuf tarihi ilgileri arasındadır. Ud çalmaktadır.

Please join us for a presentation (in Turkish) at our Turkish Circle next Monday,"The Inception of Classical Ottoman Music". Our speaker, Kaan Asker is from Istanbul (we should note that he is originally from Malatya). He came to Chicago for undergraduate education. He is about to finish his 2nd year at Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. His interests include the social and ethnic history of Anatolia, the history of music, and the history of Sufism. He plays the oud.
