NELC congratulates Claire Roosien (PhD NELC 2020), who has been appointed Assistant Professor of Slavic Languages and Literatures at Yale University.
Dr. Roosien completed her PhD in NELC in the Spring of 2019 with a dissertation entitled "Socialism Mediated: The Soviet Mass Public in Uzbekistan, 1928-37"
under the direction of Prof. Holly Shissler, and had been Assistant Professor at Providence College before joining the Yale faculty this year.
