Sarah Hill is the Department Manager for Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. She received her M.A. from the University of Chicago’s Center for Middle Eastern Studies in 2020, and has been working at the University since 2022. Prior to joining NELC, Sarah worked at an online brokerage firm where she was the Team Lead for Arabic and Hebrew document processing, as well as at a travel agency before that. As Department Manager, Sarah oversees the administration of the Department's operations and graduate and undergraduate programs. She works with faculty leadership and the departmental staff to provide administrative direction in the areas of academic program management, student affairs, curriculum management, budget and financial management, and event planning.
