Applications for the Jonathan A.C. Brown Islamic Studies Research Award to be accepted in fall 2022

The department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations is pleased to announce that we will begin accepting applications for the Jonathan A.C. Brown Islamic Studies Research Award in fall 2022. The purpose of the award is to support graduate student research in the field of Islamic studies, and it is open to all master’s and doctoral degree students in any area of the university working in this field. We look forward to considering applications on a broad range of topics in Islamic studies. We particularly encourage applications that propose to investigate hitherto neglected sources or archives or that develop new approaches and questions to be applied to already known sources

The Jonathan A.C. Brown Islamic Studies Research Award was established through the generous support of an anonymous donor. More information about the award may be found here
