:هذا الأسبوع نتشرف باستضافة عمر صديقي، الذي سيلقي محاضرة بعنوان
"العقل والنقل في فكر الفلاسفة والمتكلمين والحنابلة"
تخرّجَ عمر صديقي من جامعة شيكاغو عام ٢٠٢٤. هو شغوف بالطب والفلسفة. كان عمر طالباً للغة العربية منذ الصف الأول،
ودرس اللغة في مدرسة المؤسسة الإسلامية وفي الجامعة بعد ذلك. يقرأ الفلسفة الغربية والشرقية، ويرى أوجه تشابُه بين فلاسفة هذه التقاليد، مثل ديكارت والغزالي
!تُرحِّب الندوة العربية بجميع الطلاب من شتّى المستويات بالإضافة إلى كل محبي اللغة العربية. نتمنى أن نراكم قريباً إن شاء الله

This week we are delighted to host Umar Siddiqi, who will give a talk entitled “Reason and Revelation in the Thought of Philosophers, Kalam Theologians, and Hanbalis”.
Umar Siddiqi graduated from the University of Chicago in 2024. He is passionate about medicine and philosophy. Umar has been a student of the Arabic language since first grade, studying the language at the Islamic Foundation School and in university after that. He reads Western and Eastern philosophy, seeing the similarities between philosophers of these traditions, like Descartes and Ghazali.
Arabic Circle is open to students, faculty and community members of all levels in Arabic, as well as anyone interested in the language. We look forward to seeing you! Please feel free to contact us with any questions or feedback.
