:هذا الأسبوع إيفا كورونيوس ستلقي محاضرة بعنوان
بين نارَين: حياة (وموت) أسمهان: الأميرة السورية الدرزية
إيفا كورونيوس طالبة ماجستير في مركز دراسات الشرق الأوسط بجامعة شيكاغو. تهتم بدراسة الإنتاج الثقافي المصري المعاصر، مع التركيز على الخطاب المحيط بالمسلسلات الرمضانية المصرية. درستْ إيفا اللغة العربية في الأردن ومصر. قبل التحاقها بجامعة شيكاغو، عاشتْ وعملتْ في نيو يورك بينما كانتْ تحتلق بصفوف متعلقة باللغة العربية وتاريخِ السينما المصرية وتطورِها.
تُرحِّب الندوة العربية بجميع الطلاب من شتّى المستويات بالإضافة إلى كل محبي اللغة العربية. نتمنى أن نراكم قريباً إن شاء الله! لا تترددوا في التواصل معنا إن كانت لديكم أي اقتراحات.

This week Arabic Circle coordinator Eva Koronios will give a presentation entitled “Between Two Fires: The Life (and Death) of Asmahan, Syria’s ‘Mountain Princess’”.
Eva Koronios is a Master’s student at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Chicago. She works on contemporary Egyptian cultural production, with a focus on discourse surrounding Egyptian Ramadan serials. Eva has studied Arabic in Jordan and Egypt. Prior to joining the University of Chicago, she lived and worked in New York while taking Arabic courses focused on the history and development of Egyptian cinema.
Arabic Circle is open to students, faculty and community members of all levels in Arabic, as well as anyone interested in the language. We look forward to seeing you! Please feel free to contact us with any questions or feedback.
