تتمحور هذه الندوة حول خطبة من نهج البلاغة وأقوال الشراح في نصها وعلاقتها بالدين وعلم الفقه ورؤية علي بن أبي طالب—رضي الله عنه—فيهما.

يَدرس عمار الفرا بجامعة شيكاغو ويتخصص بتاريخي الفكر والاجتماعي الإسلاميين وذلك في قسم دراسات الشرق الأوسط

This week Ammar Farra will present a talk titled:

 In the Expanse of Nahj al-balāgha: A Study of a Sermon and its Commentaries

This seminar centers on a sermon from Nahj al-balāgha and what the commentators have said about its texts, its relationship with religion and law, and ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib’s cosmology of both.

Ammar Farra studies at the University of Chicago, specializing in intellectual and social histories of 

Islam, at the Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations department.
