Persian Circle: Talk with Dr. Mohammad Hosseini | Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations

Please join us on Thursday, February 23 @5pm CST for a talk with Dr. Mohammad Hosseini! Mohammad Hosseini is a Postdoctoral researcher at Northwestern University and an assistant editor of the journal of Accountability in Research. Born in Tehran, he received his BA in Management (Eindhoven, 2013) MA in Applied Ethics (Utrecht, 2016) and completed his PhD in Research Ethics and Integrity (Dublin, 2021), where he also served as a guest lecturer in ethics. Motivated by the interdisciplinary nature and broad application of research ethics, Mohammad’s research has explored a variety of issues that affect all scholarly fields. Among others, he has examined practical challenges of attributing authorship credit and explored modern ways of recognizing contributions in academic publications.

Suggestions to Improve the Comprehensibility of Current Definitions of Scientific Authorship for International Authors
A review of the literature on ethical issues related to scientific authorship
Doing the right thing: A qualitative investigation of retractions due to unintentional error
