Please join us Thursday, May 6, at 5:00 pm CST for a join program with the University of Michigan! This week, we will have a talk by Dr. Tamar Lekveishvili. Dr. Lekveishvili has a Ph.D. in History from Ilia State University, Institute of Oriental Studies in Tbilisi, Georgia. She is currently working as a researcher at the above-mentioned Institute. Dr. Lekveishvili's major research focuses on Iranian-Caucasian relations in 18th century, and Iranian-Georgian relations in 17th century. Her dissertation was on Nader Shah's Caucasus policy.
Her presentation is on "The Iranian Influence on Early Modern Georgian Clothing."
